For lovers of agave spirits, sotol is a relatively new frontier. Never mind that it's been continuously made for hundreds of years. The spirit of northern Mexico sits at the intersection of people, place, and culture. Join us as we dig deep, exploring the rationality and terroir of spirits made from the desert spoon. Hot on his heels from a trip spanning the state of Chihuahua, Jay will be sharing the information, photos, and spirits gathered on his journey.
Join Quiote and Todos Santos's beverage director and agave expert Jay Schroeder monthly agave spirits class and tasting.
The class will be held in Todos Santos, Quiote's subterranean mezcaleria, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will include four pours of different sotol during the hour chosen specifically to highlight different aspects of the spirit and its production methods.
The intimate class will be limited to 20 people.
